Happy Little Bluebirds Double Irish Chain Quilt

This lovely quilt, sized at 54" square, was a project featured in the October/Novemebr 2021 edition of Homespun Magazine. The kit incorporates a beautiful pre-printed hexagon fabric that is simply cut out and appliqued on to the background, using fusible webbing and finished with blanket stitch. The pattern also includes a hexagon pattern if you would prefer to make hexagons using the English paper piecing method, with fabrics from your own stash. Deceptively simple to make, mainly because the blocks are strip pieced, this pretty quilt is an ideal sofa throw or single bed topper. Current kits are in exactly these fabrics. Scroll down to order.
