The beautiful embroidered lid on this box creates the theme for a special piece, reminiscent of times gone by. Use it as a storage box for your costume jewellery, or as a workbox for your sewing accessories.

The lid is embroidered, while the remainder of the box features a lovely print fabric. The lid is lined and slightly padded, and features an elasticised band for storage of items separately. Simplein construction, the various sections of the box are first made separately by lning the outer pieces, then slipping in the foam board, rather than having them laced over the board. This method is quicker than the traditional lacing method. The sections of the box are then put together and attached to each other by hand stitching using an embroidery thread and a decorative embrodiery stitch.
