When we released our lovely little Baker's Dozen Packs (13 Fat Eighths in various colourways), we were delighted with the lovely response. They seem to have hit the "sweet spot" as so many people took the opportunity to buy small amounts of beautiful fabrics.
Of course, I was loving choosing and cutting fabrics to create the packs, and, as you might expect, the creative juices started flowing. The result is the makings of a pretty little scrap quilt utilizing two of these packs, with the addition of some extra fabrcis: background embroidery fabric, applique, and others needed to complete the quilt. We also used some pretty embellishments such as lace, Mokuba ribbon and ric rac braid.
The idea was to create a very simple design, incorporating small amounts of applique and simple embroidery to showcase these lovely fabrics.
We are currently putting this design into pattern and will be releasing it as a Block of the Month programme a little further down the track.
