For my birthday last year, Donna made me a blue and white version of our lovely Strawberries and Cream Supper Cloth. She knows how much blue and white china I have, and she knew this would be a perfect addition!
We have just cut kits in a new range of blue and white fabrics ~ not the ones pictured in this quilt, as they came from Donna's stash, but ones that are very similar.
This little cloth features five embroidered blocks, mde into a nine-patch centrepiece, framed by a scrappy border, and embroidered narrow border.
Donna finished her quitl with a prairie point broder, in place of the scalloped one. We have not altered the pattern to include instructions for the prairie points, so if you want this finish, you will need to find instructions elsewhere. Time has prevented us from altering the pattern to suit. There is sufficient fabric in the kit for either the scalloped border or the prairie point border. Again, because of time constraints, we have not changed the thread colours to suit the new fabrics. In the kit of the blue version, you will receive the pattern for the original version, plus a colour photograph of the quilt pictured here.
The supper cloth is 117cm (46") square.
Pictured below are the fabrics in our kits for the blue version.
