Simple pieced squares framed by a little baby embroidery on the inner border, and bordered by a pretty nursery print, give just the right touch for your latest little baby quilt. Surprise a new Mum or put away in your stash for the next little baby girl that comes into your life. The embroidery design is by Maureen Latta of http://www.candycats.com.au
This version is made in pretty Lecien and Quilt-gate prints in delicate shades of pink and cream. Ideal for a little girl or baby, featuring a little bunnies in teacup print as the main border, this design will create a pretty shabby chic feel to a bedroom, and you could even get away with it on your verandah or sunroom as a lap quilt (if you don't mind cute bunnies!)
Note: If you are careful with your cutting when you are making the quilt, you may have nine squares left over, as well as a piece of the binding. When you buy backing, buy a little extra, and, using this and the leftovers from the quilt, you should have sufficient to make a pretty little cushion like the one pictured below.
