All your fantasies in one! This beautiful, free-standing embroidered cottage sits on your dresser, among your cottage collection, and doubles as an exquisite workbox, holding all your embroidery necessities for your current project.
Stitches used in this project are very simple, and the project requires no more than beginner's experience in embroidery. A good embroidery reference book is suggested a guide to working this project.
The cottage is padded with pellon, and laced over template plastic to stiffen the walls and roof. Inside, there are pockets for your needlework necessities, such as embroidery scissors, needle packets, and threads. Inside the roof is a pincushion. Lining fabric in the kits and PEP may differ from the orginal, but it has been chosen with care, and is the same excellent quality as in the original sample.
The pattern contains detailed instructions, and close-up illustrations, as well as a new innovation in iron-on transfers, to eliminate the need to trace the design on to the fabric. The option is there, however, to trace if you prefer.
The appearance of the cottage is nostalgic and romantic. A sweet crinoline lady tends her garden outside her cottage. Turn the cottage round, and you will see he pretty front door, welcoming you to here home. Make this beatutiful workbox, for a very special person, or as an heirloom to keep for yourself and for your family to treasure.
This project is available as a pattern, kit, or as a progressive embroidery project (PEP), over a period of 6 months similar to a Block of the Month.
A threads pack is available separately at $26 for the 26 threads required. Please write in the comments column if you would like to include the threads pack in your order.
